Water, Not Soap
You might think soap is the first step to really cleaning up your skin, but in reality it just leads to more dryness that hurts your skin. Use soap sparingly when you shower and avoid that unnecessary dryness.
Don’t smoke! It causes wrinkles, deprives your skin of nutrients like vitamin A, causes skin discoloration, and damages your skin’s collagen and elastin. If you do smoke, quitting is your best bet for getting your healthy skin back.
We’ve all been told how the sun can damage our skin, from skin cancer to wrinkles and dry skin. To protect your skin from this kind of damage, use sunscreen, wear protective clothing, and avoid the sun when its rays are strongest (between 10am and 4pm).
Diet and Digestion
A balanced, healthy diet is often the key to healthy skin. It can be as easy as being sure to drink plenty of water every day. We may not understand exactly why, but we’re sure that a healthy diet will lead to healthy skin, too.
